That's it.

Im doing it.
I'm creating my first blog post. After a series of false alarms, and me 'just waiting for the juice to come' I decided to jump up and JUST DO IT better than Nike ever could. I thought of things that happened within the past 24 hours and decided that I needed to 'wake up and pay attention' to the things going on around me. I know I can be observant at times, but the commentator inside my head needs to be organized and put down on paper. (or blogged) Useless? maybe. Entertaining? definitely. So as I venture forth into this blogging world I ask of you to please show some patience as I try to commentate my life from a computer screen. Not solely for 'entertainment' purposes, but as a way to express myself in a creative effort.

The only thing on my mind right now is how much I miss Hawaii. Yes, I am in Tyer Perry's stomping grounds, and have the access to malls, concerts, black people, and southern deep fried deliciousness at my fingertips, but I really miss the island--or as my friends from New Zealand would say, the Oi-land. There's something about the simplicity. Yes, in the island life it absolutely bites when everyone thinks they know everyone's bid-ness and how it's considered 'exciting' to go to a gathering of 3 people or more, but the sunrises (the 2 that I was not in a coma for), landscape, ocean, and spirit of aloha make up for that. Living in the beautiful land that Heavenly Father has created in the Pacific Islands makes up for any bad that anyone might experience there for whatever reason.

Yes, being in the ATL you are in the home city for many celebrities such as Whitney Houston/Bobby Brown, Gladys Knight, Michael Vick, Elton John, Julia Roberts, Ludacris, Lil' Jon, Usher, Ciara, Monica, TLC, Evander Holyfield, The Dream, Keri Hilson, Akon, Outkast, and the muppets ETC. (WHEW!), But if it weren't for their music they would be dead to me. I'm fine with watching them from the TV screen, or listening to them on the radio.

Some people might need the hustle of the city-- and it is fun for awhile might I add, but I have realized that I don't need many things to be happy. Just a community to serve, a family to love, and the chance to express myself.

YAY! I get to be your first comment. I'll never forget my first comment!

I'm so proud of you!!! And excited to read about your life in Atlanta. Amen sistah! There is nothing like the islands. I miss them so much too. Are you going back at all? What are you doing in Georgia? Are you working on your music?

I'm so happy to hear from you. Are you ready for me to put you on my sidebar? Or do you want to be on the downlow for a bit?

Yes i can't wait to go back on the 5th of January. woo woo! I'm in Atlanta with my mom... she went back to school my sophomore year of high school and is in her last year of medical school! we are so proud of her. anyway-she is doing some clinical stuff and is trying to get into the Emory University OB/GYN residency. We are all so proud. And YES i'm working on music--i'm switching to the Guitar cuz I can do way more stuff with the guitar than the ukulele.

I dunno about putting me on your sidebar yet. maybe i should wait until I have more posts, or wait until I get more comfortable, or figure this out.

You said my verifier says liker. what is that? I'm gonna have to get into this blogging jargon REAL fast. Thanks for encouraging me to start one. I was seriously gonna start one a long time ago but I just decided to do it now, and I wanna get way fast at it so I'm not sitting at the computer for forever. I'm sure it will help develop me as a writer.

YES I remember the tim tams..and you can put up photos of me just as long as I don't look too throwed. My guess is i'm either wearing board shorts or basketball shorts with my hair in a bun. Oh well. I'm coming back to utah the 2nd of December so I will rule the land of the mo-muns for a couple of weeks. talk to you later! thanks for the support! and sorry so long
